Successful WWKIP Day!

Last week, many knitters around the world went out on open squares and in green parks to knit.

We did the same in Brussels. It was suspense to the end, as it rained till about 9.30 in the morning, before the sun finally came out to greet us - and it was there for the rest of the day.

In total about 20 participating knitters passed by and spent some hours knitting a square - or five - for a small blanket, which is now in its construction stage. A lot more people came around curiously inquiring about our activities, so we can only hope it sparked an idea for them for next year, as many in Brussels had never heard about the WWKIP event before.

It was a beautiful day in the beautiful surroundings of the old Abbaye in Brussels.

And what was the results of all our efforts? Well, we have a total of about 30 smaller or bigger squares. They have now been blocked and the sizes are being adjusted so that each and every one of them will be able to fit in to the patchwork.
